Our team’s background spans law, finance and software development, so we understand the real-world challenges of KYC, AML/CTF compliance, watchlist screening, transaction monitoring and identity verification ​AML-CTF. Our Story

How did our journey begin?

In 2012, a handful of data and software enthusiasts gathered in a Melbourne café. Frustrated by slow systems, endless spreadsheets, and emerging stricter privacy rules, we asked ourselves: “Why are many data systems so clunky and unsafe?” That question sparked Global Data’s mission—to build simple, reliable technology that makes accurate, privacy-compliant data instantly available to businesses for smarter decision making.

Some of Our Milestones:

  • 2012 – Launched the company and set up our data aggregation channels to begin building our data assets.
  • 2014 – Introduced Quester, the first real-time SaaS direct marketing tool of its kind. Designed to help our clients target their desired audience for direct marketing campaigns.
  • 2015 – Rolled out Caspar, our skip-tracing and KYC solution for background screening. Today, Caspar is known as Australia’s top SaaS KYC and background screening solution.
  • 2016 – Launched Insiight, an online data enrichment platform that refreshes customer files in seconds. This software was purpose built to fix bad data. Today, Insiight is used by hundreds of businesses Australia-wide.
  • 2020+ Expanded into AML/CTF building and delivering IDPass, IDFEX, and WatchEye, adding biometric checks, transaction monitoring, and ID document verification to our suite of API and SaaS solutions.
