Person Report Result API

Person Report Result polls for the result of a Person Report request. The call is free of charge; only the originating request is billed. Every poll returns a status, and once the status is complete the body carries the resolution, the report where one person was resolved, and the full provenance. Append pdf=true for a formatted PDF instead of JSON. The endpoint is experimental and may change.

  • A status of pending, processing, complete or error on every poll, with a status message describing the current step
  • The completed report as JSON, or as a PDF with the research notes, inferences and sources as an appendix

What the check gives you

Collecting the report once resolution has finished

A Person Report request runs in the background. This call reports where it is and, once complete, carries the resolution and the report. Your system supplies the request UUID and reads the status until it is complete or error. Typical turnaround is a few seconds; allow up to a minute when the court and social sections are included.

Where the request is

The status is pending before the search starts, processing while it runs, complete when the resolution is available, or error when the report could not be produced. A status message describes the current step or explains the error.

How the person was resolved

Once complete, the resolution carries the outcome, the confidence, the number of candidates and rounds, a per-field comparison of the details supplied with the resolved subject, and the corroborations and flags. Same-name records that were set aside are listed with the reason.

The report itself

When the outcome is resolved, the report carries identity with a deceased check, the address timeline with co-residents and listings, phones and emails with a live connectivity check, possible relatives, judgements, business and ASIC records, UK Companies House officers, PEP, sanctions and banned-person matches, court summaries and records, and the social profile.

The audit trail

Provenance is returned in full: every source lookup with its exact query and result count, every inference with its rule and evidence, and the chronological research notes. The request reference on the result is the API reference of the originating request, for billing reconciliation.

How a check runs

The request returns at once; this call reports the status

The Person Report request returns at once with a request UUID. This call reports the status and carries the result once complete. Every poll returns HTTP 200 with the status field; this endpoint never returns 202. Repeat it until the status is complete or error.

An unknown request UUID, or one that belongs to another account, returns a 400 response. Results are retained for 24 hours. In the sandbox the queue runs synchronously, so the result is normally complete on the first poll. This endpoint is experimental and subject to change.

Reading the result

What each status means for the record in front of you

The status field tells your system whether to read the result, wait, or stop. Once complete, the resolution outcome tells your team whether a report is attached.

Complete

The result is ready

The body carries the resolution and the provenance, and the report when the outcome is resolved. An unresolved outcome carries a redacted candidate list or narrowing hints instead. Store the result and stop polling.

Processing

Resolution is still running

The status is pending or processing and the status message describes the current step. Check again; typical turnaround is a few seconds, and up to a minute when the court and social sections are included.

Error

The report could not be produced

The status message explains why. Nothing is billed for the request. Submit a new Person Report request or contact support with the API reference.

What it costs

A monthly subscription, drawn down as you run checks

Your subscription is credited to your account each month and each check consumes credits from it. If you go past the included amount, further checks are charged at a per-check rate. The rate depends on the volume you commit to, so the sales team is the fastest way to find where your business lands.

  • Pay as you go available
  • No lock-in contract
How billing works
Subscribe monthly, spend it as credits
  • The monthly subscription arrives as credits on your account.
  • Each check draws down credits as it runs.
  • Checks beyond the included credits are billed per check.
  • Higher monthly volume moves you to a lower rate.

Others in Person

Person Report starts the request this call collects. Person History returns the dated address and contact records for a person. Deceased Check answers the death question on its own.

Questions

Questions we get asked about Person Report Result

Do we need a developer to implement this?
Yes. This is the second call of a two-step REST flow. A developer stores the request UUID from Person Report, polls this endpoint until the status is complete or error, and reads the result. A sandbox that runs against a sample universe is provided at no usage cost, so the integration can be built and tested before production keys are issued.
What does our system need to send?
The request UUID returned by Person Report, in the path. An optional pdf query parameter set to true returns the completed report as a PDF document instead of JSON.
What comes back?
On every poll, a message, an API reference for the poll call, the request UUID, the request reference of the originating call, the status and a status message. Once complete, the search criteria as searched, the resolution, the report when the outcome is resolved, and the provenance.
How does polling work?
Every poll returns HTTP 200 with the status field, including while the request is pending or processing. This endpoint never returns 202. Poll until the status is complete or error. An unknown or foreign request UUID returns 400.
Is polling billed?
No. This call is free of charge. Only the originating Person Report request is billed, and nothing is billed when the status is error.
What is in the PDF?
The resolution summary, every report section, and the research notes, inferences and sources as an appendix. A PDF is produced for every complete outcome, not only resolved ones; an unresolved outcome renders the resolution summary with the redacted candidate list and narrowing hints. Candidate tokens are only available in the JSON form. While the request is still pending or processing, the JSON status is returned regardless of the flag.
How reliable are the watchlist, court and social sections?
Each section carries its own status, so one unavailable source never fails the whole report. PEP and sanctions matches are on name, and date of birth where the record holds one, and are never verified as the subject. Court records are matched on name and state only and are labelled as unverified. A social profile whose name does not agree with the subject is returned as unverified with a warning.
Is the result stored by Global Data?
Results are retained for 24 hours. Personally identifiable information sent in a request is not stored or retained unless it is needed to process that request. Query data is stripped of PII before it is kept for audit. Data in transit and at rest is encrypted, and retention follows the Australian Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles. Global Data is not a credit bureau and does not create an access footprint on any record.
